Honduras 2008

My oldest son Josh and I went on a missions trip in July 2008. It was the best experience in the world. We learned a lot about what it is to not have anything. we stayed on an orphanage compound for seven days. In the picture we are visiting the school in the compound.Give some feedback on what YOU see in the picture. I will also take questions about the trip. I am going to try to share a slide show if I can get Mrs. Sims to help me. Have a great day/week.

HELLO!!

I am so glad you joined me on my blog. I will tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Fishers, Indiana about 15 minutes from downtown Indy. I have three kids who someone you might know because they go PC; Josh-he is a junior, Justin-he is a freshman, and Jacob-he is in sixth-grade at Pike Central Middle School. I met my husband 18 years ago when he was working in Indy. He graduated from PC in 1984 (he is old). I now live in the southeast part of the county (close to Huntingburg) and have since 1999. I am so proud to be in Pike county and Pike Central even though I miss my friends and family in Indy. OH! I forgot our pets (cannot forget them). We have two dogs. One just got added to our family in July. We have Molly who is a husky-boxer mix puppy only 15 weeks old and Ghost who is a mutt drop at our door four years ago. They are all loved and are truly a part of our family. I will post pictures of them later so you can see them. I graduated from Lawrence North High school in 1987 (you do the math and let me know how old you think me to be), then graduated from Oakland City University with a teaching license in 2002, Just graduated with my Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2009. I love education and educating young people. It is my passion! Always has been from day one in high school. My wish for all of you that are reading my blog is that you will find your passion and never stop reaching for my knowledge to keep the passion going.
